    Background:

    • Cirrhosis is a severe liver condition with significant morbidity.
    • Assessing disease severity and monitoring treatment response in cirrhosis remains challenging.
    • Dynamic liver scintigraphy offers a non-invasive imaging approach.

    Purpose of the Study:

    • To evaluate the utility of dynamic liver scanning using 99mTc sulphur colloid in patients with cirrhosis.
    • To compare scintigraphic parameters between cirrhotic patients and healthy controls.
    • To explore the correlation between scintigraphic findings and clinical outcomes, such as variceal bleeding.

    • Dynamic liver scintigraphy was performed on 41 patients with cirrhosis and 33 control subjects.

    • Reduced MF and L:S ratios are indicative of cirrhosis.
    • This imaging technique shows potential for monitoring disease progression and evaluating treatment efficacy in cirrhosis.
