To analyze compensation trends in orthopaedic surgery over the past 20 years.
To compare orthopaedic surgery compensation with trends in other professions.
To identify long-term economic shifts affecting medical specialists.

Collected income data for orthopaedic surgeons and other professions from 2000-2020.
Utilized data from the US Bureau of Labor Statistics and peer-reviewed literature.
