Abstract:
This study developed a tip detection (TD) method and chronic total occlusion (CTO)-specific short-tip intravascular ultrasound (IVUS) with a pullback transducer system. We devised TD-antegrade dissection reentry and standardized CTO wiring. This CTO-specific IVUS is not available outside Japan. This paper reports TD-antegrade dissection reentry performed using IVUS, widely used around the world.
