Abstract:
Databases are vital for participative science, particularly in root research. These platforms centralize diverse data, foster collaboration, and reduce redundancy. However, underuse remains a challenge because of lack of incentives, standardization issues, and low visibility. Increased database use could significantly advance the contribution of root research to crop development.
