Abstract:
In situ cryo-electron tomography (cryo-ET) has recently been widely used in observing subcellular structures and macromolecules in their native states at high resolution. One of the reasons that it has not been more widely adopted by cell biologists and structural biologists is the difficulties in sample preparation. Here we present the Sandwich-LIke Culturing Kit (SLICK), simplifying the procedure and increasing the throughput for sample preparation for in situ cryo-ET.
