Streptococcus suis: A Possible Emerging Zoonotic Pathogen in Romania

Streptococcus suis, a pig bacterium, is an emerging zoonotic threat. This study highlights its presence in Romania, causing severe meningitis and endocarditis, with hearing loss as a common sequela.
