    Background:

    • Type A Behavior Pattern (TABP) is a known risk factor for coronary heart disease (CHD).
    • Previous research suggests TABP is associated with autonomic hyperreactivity to stressors.
    • Studies have linked TABP to autonomic hyperreactivity in patients undergoing coronary artery bypass surgery.

    Purpose of the Study:

    • To investigate the correlation between TABP and intraoperative blood pressure changes in non-cardiac surgical patients.
    • To explore if TABP is associated with heightened physiological responses during general anesthesia.

    Main Methods:

    • The study involved 44 non-cardiac patients undergoing elective general surgery.
    • Blood pressure changes during anesthesia were monitored.
