The systemic coagulation-inflammation (SCI) index is significantly higher in patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) experiencing clinical deterioration. Machine learning models, particularly SVM, can reliably predict clinical deterioration in COPD patients using the SCI index.
