Experience with the avulsion technique in pterygium surgery
Abstract:
A technique for pterygium removal is described which combines the avulsion of the pterygium head off the corneal surface with a precise isolation and resection of the pterygium. The conjunctiva is resutured to allow the sclera to remain bare. B-radiation in 3 divided doses is administered in each case.
