Optimal timing of repeat thyroid fine-needle aspiration biopsy

Repeat fine-needle aspiration (FNA) biopsy for pediatric thyroid nodules should occur within 3-6 months. Early repeat biopsies for nondiagnostic nodules do not impact diagnostic yield, enabling timely surgical intervention.
