Abstract:
The robotic surgical system is a comprehensive system integrating multiple modern high technologies. Its application has ushered in a new era of intelligent, precise and minimally invasive surgery. In China, after 10 years of continuous practice and research, robotic surgeons have proven that robotic thyroid surgery is comparable to traditional open surgery in terms of surgical safety and tumor radicality, and has better satisfaction with the appearance. Robotic thyroid surgery in China has been controversial and has established its own characteristic technical system. It has made remarkable progress in protecting the recurrent laryngeal nerve and parathyroid function, and preventing and treating perioperative complications, ensuring the standardized development of robotic thyroid surgery in China. With the continuous accumulation of robotic surgery experience, Chinese robotic surgeons have also explored its application in complex thyroid surgeries. The application of 5G in the medical field, the continuous optimization of domestic robotic surgical systems, and the empowerment of artificial intelligence have brought new opportunities and challenges to robot-assisted thyroid surgery.
