Low-Grade Chondroid Variant Osteosarcoma: A Rare Case Report and Diagnostic Insights

Osteosarcoma is a rare malignant tumor that primarily affects the jaw bones, with the low-grade chondroid variant being an uncommon subtype that often mimics benign lesions. This case report details the clinical presentation, histopathological findings, radiographic evidence, and treatment approach for a 23-year-old male who presented with recurrent gingival growth and pain in the lower anterior region. Initially misdiagnosed as a pyogenic granuloma, further evaluation revealed the presence of low-grade chondroid variant osteosarcoma. This case underscores the necessity for a thorough investigation of recurrent oral lesions and the importance of timely biopsy and accurate histopathological interpretation for effective management.
