Partial Septal Overlap Suture for Correcting Dorsal Septal Deviation in Crooked Nose

Dorsal septal deviations affect the external appearance and may cause breathing difficulties. This study aims to describe the partial septal overlap suture technique applied to bring the dorsal septum to the midline in patients with C-shaped crooked noses. The study included 74 patients with C-shaped crooked noses. The partial septal overlap suture was used to correct dorsal C-shaped septal deviation in patients with crooked noses and difficulty breathing. Functional and aesthetic satisfaction were evaluated in patients who completed 12 months of follow-up. There were no major complications and no functional or aesthetic failure. Revision was not required in any patient. The outcomes show that the partial septal overlap suture technique is a valuable option to correct the C-shaped high dorsal deviation of the nasal septum.
