A leiomyosarcoma of the hypopharynx

A fourth case of leiomyosarcoma of the hypopharynx is reported. The histopathological diagnosis and treatment are discussed. Surgery is still the treatment of choice and, in combination with chemotherapy (especially Methotrexate) and radiotherapy, the recurrence rate can be reduced. However, randomized studies are required.
