Abstract:
A self-polymerized carbonyl pigment, perylene-3,4,9,10-tetracarboxylic dianhydride (P420), is prepared by one-step heat treatment. Benefiting from molecular self-polymerization, the P420 electrode delivers a reversible capacity of 98.8 mA h g-1 at 0.1 A g-1 for aqueous ammonium-ion storage. Even at 5 A g-1, 95 mA h g-1 can be retained.
