Abstract:
As known, the closer the area is to the equator, the higher the sun's radiation intensity. Areas in the equator potentially receive the highest sun radiation intensity, including the Riau archipelago. The indication can be seen from temperature and ultraviolet. The condition is amplified by high humidity because the area is surrounded by sea, obtaining a particular heat level that affects human activities. The weather indicators, such as the heat index derived from temperature and humidity and ultraviolet index, were observed on Mantang Island, one island in the Riau archipelago, from 6 September to 6 October 2023. The data was monitored using a portable weather station. The heat index data can indicate hot feels on the human body, whether at a low or dangerous level and sun radiation intensity.

Midrange
Simply put, the midrange is half of the data set’s range. Similar to the mean, the midrange is sensitive to the extreme values and hence the prospective outliers. However, unlike the mean, the midrange is not sensitive to all the values of the data set that lie in the middle. Thus, it is prone to...

Calculating Standard Deviation
The standard deviation value is small when all the data is concentrated close to the mean. Here the data exhibits low variation. The standard deviation value is larger when the data values are more spread out from the mean. Here, the data displays high...

Interval Level of Measurement
Data measured using the interval scale are similar to ordinal level data because they have a definite arrangement. However, in the interval level of measurement, the differences between data values are meaningful even though the data does not have a starting point.
Temperature is measured using the interval scale. It is measurable data, and the difference between...
