Reexamining the need for antibiotic prophylaxis in pediatric upper extremity surgery

Routine antibiotic prophylaxis may not be necessary for pediatric upper extremity surgeries. This study found no significant difference in surgical site infection rates between children who received antibiotics and those who did not.
