Abstract:
1,9-Dimethyl-2,8-funtionalized phenothiazines were successfully developed through a bottom-up synthesis strategy. A high photoluminescence quantum yield of 52% was observed, upon oxidation, and a reduced PLQY of 6% was achieved which opens new avenues for designing PTZ-based push-pull systems with tailored properties.
