Spontaneous transection of Raimondi peritoneal catheter
Surgical Neurology
|July 1, 1985
Abstract:
Three cases of spontaneous transection of a Raimondi peritoneal catheter are reported. Two cases were in infants aged 14 and 10 months, respectively, with communicating hydrocephalus, and the other was in a 10-year-old boy with noncommunicating hydrocephalus associated with a pinealoma. The mechanism of this complication is discussed.
