A non-isolated DITO high step up DC/DC converter with reduced voltage stress on power switches

Abstract:
This article describes a non-isolated multiport dual-input three-output (DITO), high-step-up DC-DC converter. The suggested converter's outputs vary in voltage and power levels. The design recommended has high voltage gain at each output with a low duty cycle, lower losses, and voltage stress on semiconductors, particularly power switches. Consequently, the proposed system not only ensures varied voltage and power delivery across its outputs but also maintains admirable functionality through energy-efficient and stress-minimized design choices. The operational modes and the functioning of this structure are examined in subsequent sections, and to demonstrate its special character features, it has been compared with other multi-input and multi-output (MIMO) structures through a case study. Eventually, to verify the efficiency of the proposed converter, an experimental prototype with a total power of 150 watts and inputs of 20 V and outputs of 45, 83, and 144 V, respectively, has been constructed at a frequency of 50 kilohertz and a duty cycle of 0.4, and the results have been described.
