Abstract:
Spontaneous ruptures of ovarian teratomas are rare. We report a case of chemical peritonitis due to spontaneous rupture of a right ovarian teratoma in a 37-year-old female patient with no gynecological history, who presented an acute nonspecific abdominal pain. The CT scan showed a right ovarian teratoma associated with peritoneal effusion and infiltration of the great omentum suggesting a rupture of the dermoid cyst confirmed by laparoscopic exploration.
