    Background:

    Purpose of the Study:

    • To evaluate the efficacy and safety of the Dynamic Hip Screw (DHS) for various proximal femur fractures.
    • To assess functional outcomes, complication rates, and implant performance in a cohort of elderly patients.

    Main Methods:

    • A retrospective follow-up study of 54 osteosyntheses using the AO Dynamic Hip Screw (DHS).
    • Patients averaged 72 years old with diverse fractures including femoral neck, pertrochanteric, and subtrochanteric regions.
    • Follow-up ranged from 3 to 26 months, assessing mobility, hip movement, pain, and reoperations.

    Main Results:

    • No implant failures or intra-articular screw protrusion observed in any case.
