On-call or not on-call, what difference does it make in paediatric radiology?

Out-of-hours paediatric radiology services are lacking expert coverage, leading to physician dissatisfaction and a high rate of diagnostic errors. Improving on-call paediatric radiologist availability could significantly reduce misdiagnoses and enhance patient care.
