    Background:

    • Pseudohypoparathyroidism is associated with endocrine abnormalities, including potential thyrotropin deficiency.
    • Pituitary function, particularly prolactin secretion, has not been extensively studied in pseudohypoparathyroidism.

    Purpose of the Study:

    • To investigate pituitary function in patients with pseudohypoparathyroidism.
    • To assess prolactin secretion in response to specific stimuli in these patients.

    • Studied pituitary function in two families with pseudohypoparathyroidism.
    • Administered thyrotropin-releasing hormone and chlorpromazine to assess prolactin secretion.
