    Background:

    • Myasthenia gravis (MG) is an autoimmune condition affecting neuromuscular junctions.
    • Corneal sensory function is crucial for ocular surface health and protection.
    • Previous research has not fully elucidated the impact of MG on corneal sensitivity.

    Purpose of the Study:

    • To investigate corneal touch thresholds in individuals with myasthenia gravis.
    • To compare corneal sensitivity between MG patients and a healthy control group.
    • To explore the potential role of acetylcholine in corneal sensory transduction.

    Main Methods:

    • Corneal touch thresholds were measured using a standardized esthesiometer.
    • A cohort of 11 patients diagnosed with myasthenia gravis was recruited.
    • A control group of 20 healthy subjects was included for comparison.

    • The mean corneal touch threshold in the myasthenia gravis group was 75.6 mg (SD 52).
