. Mandatory memories for 2025, and far beyond. The only widely shared consensus which characterises the times we live in is the perception of a devastating earthquake shaking the political, cultural and institutional scenarios of the global international relations. Besides the now well known, because so often repeated epidemic diffusion of wars (more than 50 in an active state) the aggressiveness of exploitation of nature, and the failure of peace-oriented strategies, have become part of the daily experience of uncertainty: the report of a life in dignity, which was at least a legitimate and universal goal, appears not only as a difficult horizon, but a forbidden framework of research and commitment. Those who are directly and indirectly, professionally and not only citizens of a society, in the frontline of the right of life, are specifically challenged to be not only spectators, but active actors. A Perspective is not the place for a detailed review of what is happening, but a tentative proposal of methods for resisting to the desolation through a disentranced regard to the future. The images of two of the most tragic, symbolic people who are talking with their suffering and resilient lives are proposed as key words for not only understanding but also accompanying our long-term committed research of a future of shared dignity.
