    Summary

    Appendiceal carcinoid tumors are rare. Tumor size is the best indicator of malignant potential, with larger tumors posing a higher risk. Consider right hemicolectomy for tumors over 1.5 cm.

    Conclusions:

    • Tumor size is a critical factor in assessing the risk of appendiceal carcinoid tumors.
    • Right hemicolectomy should be considered for tumors > 1.5 cm post-appendicectomy.
