COVID-19 and neuropathy in type 2 diabetes

COVID-19 did not worsen diabetic peripheral neuropathy in type 2 diabetes patients. However, factors like low blood pressure, elevated lipids, and female gender were linked to developing long-COVID symptoms.

- COVID-19 does not appear to impact the development or progression of DPN in T2D patients.
- Low systolic blood pressure, altered lipids, body weight, higher VPT, and gender may influence COVID-19 outcomes in T2D.
- Further research is needed to understand the long-term effects of COVID-19 on T2D complications.
