    Background:

    • Total elbow allograft transplantation serves as a salvage procedure for debilitating elbow conditions.
    • It is indicated for patients refusing arthrodesis or ineligible for conventional total elbow replacement due to bone loss or young age.

    • To evaluate the efficacy of total elbow allografts as a salvage procedure.
    • To assess functional outcomes and potential complications in patients undergoing elbow allograft transplantation.

    • Retrospective review of ten patients who underwent total elbow allograft transplantation.
    • Rigid internal fixation was employed, with early cases using Rush rod fixation.

    • Patients achieved a functional elbow with a useful range of motion, followed for one to six years.
    • Early Rush rod fixation was linked to a high rate of nonunion.
