Abstract:
Hydroporus karabegan sp. nov. is described from the Akdağ Mountains in Elazığ province, eastern Türkiye. The new species belongs to the longulus-group of the genus Hydroporus Clairville, 1806. The habitus and the male and female genitalia of the new species are illustrated and figures of the aedeagi of two other species of the group are provided for comparison. Together with the new species the number of known species in the genus Hydroporus is now 193 and that in the longulus-group is 32.
