Insect succession patterns on pig carrion in southern Nigeria

Forensic entomologists can estimate post-mortem intervals using insect succession on decomposing remains. This study establishes baseline arthropod succession patterns in Nigerian pig carcasses to improve accuracy, especially in regions with unidentified human remains.
