Abstract:
Lumen-apposing metal stents (LAMSs) are primarily used for the endoscopic drainage of pancreatic fluid collections. However, they have also been employed off-label for other indications. A limited number of case reports have described the use of LAMS in patients with Crohn's disease (CD). Here, we present a case of a patient with a long-standing history of CD and pyloric stenosis who had failed multiple endoscopic balloon dilations. Following a multidisciplinary discussion, LAMS was successfully used to treat pyloric stenosis without complications. To our knowledge, scientific data on the use of LAMS for CD-related strictures remains limited, and this case adds to the growing body of evidence in this clinical context.
