Background:

Nursing programs require strategies to integrate International Council of Nurses' (ICN) domains.
Effective disaster nursing education is crucial for public health.

Purpose of the Study:

To provide nursing educators with strategies for incorporating ICN disaster nursing domains into curricula.
To ensure nursing students develop essential disaster response competencies.

Main Methods:

A scaffolding approach was used to integrate ICN disaster nursing domains into a nursing program.
Program outcomes and objectives were aligned with each domain for cross-degree applicability.

Main Results:

Integrating ICN competencies prepares nursing students for disaster response.
Existing courses across academic levels can be adapted to include ICN competencies.

Conclusions:

Nurse educators can equip students with disaster nursing best practices by integrating ICN competencies.
Curriculum adaptation facilitates the development of disaster-ready nursing professionals.
