Developing single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP)-based kompetitive allele-specific (KASP) polymerase chain reaction (PCR) markers offers a time-efficient method for marker-assisted breeding (MAB). This protocol details KASP assay development for enhancing rust resistance in wheat.
