Total Knee Arthroplasty in Pseudarthrosis of Hoffa Fracture: A Case Report

Case:
A 55-year-old woman presented with chronic left knee pain and functional disability 1 year after nonoperative treatment of Hoffa fracture of lateral femoral condyle, due to pseudarthrosis and consequent knee osteoarthritis. She underwent single-stage fracture fixation and primary total knee arthroplasty with successful outcome at her 4-year follow-up.
Conclusion:
The combination of Hoffa fracture fixation and primary total knee arthroplasty can achieve satisfactory results in terms of pain relief, functional improvements, and avoid complications related to a 2-stage procedure. This case report highlights total knee replacement after nonunion of Hoffa fracture and reviews the literature.
