Astrocyte-specific RNA editing, mediated by ADAR1, plays a key role in Parkinson's disease neuroinflammation. Dysregulated ADAR1 responses to alpha-synuclein contribute to sustained inflammation and neuronal toxicity in Parkinson's disease.
