What is very clear amid the evolution of hand surgical training is the value of global collaboration in enhancing the quality, depth, and breadth of training to ultimately improve hand surgery outcomes across diverse health care systems. This study explores the wide range of hand surgical training and certification models across the globe, highlighting the potential advantages and disadvantages of hand surgery as an independent specialty.
