Hypertriglyceridemia-induced pancreatitis (HTGP) is more severe than alcohol-induced acute pancreatitis (AAP), leading to longer hospital stays and more intensive care unit admissions. HTGP patients also experienced more necrotizing forms and lower serum sodium levels.
