Stacked double trapezium-shaped liquid prism with a ray deflection mechanism

A stacked double trapezium-shaped liquid prism for ray deflection mechanisms is fabricated and investigated in this paper. The electrowetting-on-dielectric actuation method is applied to obtain the compact device. The proposed liquid prism can deviate from -3.43° to 3.43° in experimentally. The applications for the proposed liquid prism include beam steering, light deviation, and adaptive optics in optical systems.
