Abstract:
Seventy-eight rhesus monkeys spontaneously using the left hand learnt a tactile discrimination task in significantly fewer trials than 77 monkeys using the right hand; but 82 monkeys without consistent preferences learnt significantly faster than either group with consistent preferences.
