Forty-hertz gamma transcranial alternating current stimulation (tACS) over the medial prefrontal cortex (mPFC) improved positive self-evaluation in individuals with subthreshold depression. This enhancement was more pronounced in those with higher depressive symptoms, suggesting therapeutic potential.
