Therapeutic indications in carbamazepine overdose

After ingesting carbamazepine, our four patients had elevated serum drug levels but minimal symptoms and were treated conservatively with excellent results. While serum levels may provide the diagnosis, they do not indicate therapy, which depends upon clinical manifestations.
