Abstract:
A 27-year-old man with double-outlet right ventricle, status post-Fontan operation, presented with acute stroke after recent diagnosis of a right ventricular thrombus. While hospitalized, he developed worsening hypoxemia secondary to a pulmonary embolism. This case highlights interdisciplinary management of patients with single-ventricle physiology and anticoagulation in Fontan patients.
