Use of the Deaver retractor for exteriorization of ovarian cysts at laparotomy

A method for the delivery of large benign ovarian cysts through the abdominal incision with use of the Deaver retractor is described. This method has facilitated the intact delivery of 11 large benign ovarian cysts in cases in which the abdominal incision was relatively small without the need of extending or modifying it.
