This article memorializes Larry E. Beutler (1941-2024). Larry received his PhD in clinical psychology from the University of Nebraska and subsequently served on the faculties of Duke University Medical Center, Baylor College of Medicine, University of Arizona Health Sciences Center, University of California at Santa Barbara, and Palo Alto University. Beutler edited multiple journals (e.g., Journal of Consulting and Clinical Psychology, Journal of Clinical Psychology, Psychotherapy Research) and was elected president of several professional associations.
