Born to be Bad: Combination of Aorticopulmonary Window With Double-Outlet Right Ventricle-Pulmonary Atresia

Abstract:
Pulmonary atresia is a rare and complex congenital cardiac condition accompanied by an aortopulmonary window (APW) and double-outlet right ventricle (DORV). Here, we describe a case of a newborn with DORV, ventricular septal defect (VSD), pulmonary atresia, and APW. The patient underwent successful postnatal evaluation and echocardiography, revealing significant anomalies, including a large AP window providing pulmonary blood flow. The coexistence of DORV with pulmonary atresia and APW emphasizes the complexity of managing such congenital heart diseases, necessitating a multidisciplinary approach for optimal outcomes.
