Abstract:
Impaired motor regulation pertaining to stopping in Parkinson's Disease (PD) is modulated by deep brain stimulation (DBS). Functional magnetic resonance imaging using a stop signal task was performed to assess the effect of subthalamic DBS in patients with PD. Overall, DBS increased activity in brain-wide task-relevant motor and response-inhibition networks.
