Calcitonin Gene-Related Peptide (CGRP) levels in cerebrospinal fluid were higher in painful Cavalier King Charles Spaniels (CKCS). This suggests CGRP may contribute to neuropathic pain in dogs with Chiari-like malformation-syringomyelia (CMSM).
