Abstract:
Xerogelthermal synthesis, as one type of green dry-synthesis method, is for the first time developed for the preparation of an aluminophosphate (AlPO) zeolite with a new topological structure, named BUCT-10. Its framework is comprised of afi ([65]) and nsc ([4262]) units, which are jointly connected in an unprecedented combined linear and bent configuration. This is notably different from the known topological structures, in which only a single configuration is observed within any one structure. BUCT-10 possesses 1D 10-ring (10R) straight channels with an unusual egg-shape aperture, templated by butyltrimethylammonium cation, and presents high structural stability after detemplation. Heteroatom magnesium can be effectively incorporated into the structure, showing superior catalytic performance in 1-butene skeleton isomerization with integrated advantages of AEL and FER-type industrial zeolitic catalysts. The xerogelthermal approach presents a promising sustainable strategy for the exploration of industrially important zeolitic materials with a novel structure.
