Latin American Dialysis and Renal Transplantation Registry: Updates and Progress

The Latin American Dialysis and Renal Transplantation Registry, funded in 1991, has collected data on patients on kidney replacement therapy since 1993 in the 20 countries members of the Latin American Society of Nephrology and Hypertension (SLANH). The training of national delegates and the joint cooperation between national societies, SLANH, and Pan American Health Organization has allowed the launch, continuity, and development of national registries. This article summarizes the evolution of the organizational and functional aspects of the Registry until 2022.
